Welcoming the end of EU mobile phone roaming charges
Chi Onwurah MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister for Culture and the Digital Economy, welcoming the end of EU mobile phone roaming charges, said:
“The Labour Party has long campaigned to scrap mobile phone roaming charges and Labour MEPs have done some excellent work in helping to get to this result. The end of EU roaming charges will be of huge benefit to British business travellers and tourists.
“This legislation also shows the EU at its best, standing up for consumers and giving equal protection rights across the 28 member states. This latest action helps to show why it is fundamental we stay in a reformed EU.”
